Leonardo DiCaprio on for Django Unchained
While it’s still early days on the deal front, Quentin Tarantino has been after DiCaprio for a while now, having looked to get him on board for Inglourious Basterds. He’s apparently even more eager to have him pay the charismatic yet utterly evil Candie, who runs the Candyland club in Mississippi, and holds human life in scant regard. But while DiCaprio sitting down for negotiations on the bad guy role is good news for the writer/director, Tarantino still has the tricky issue of casting the hero Django – a freed slave who becomes a bounty hunter and goes up against Candie in order to track down his wife. While Will Smith has long been assumed as a shoe-in for the lead, especially since his regular studio partners Sony signed on to distribute the film outside the US, Deadline’s report mentions that he’s dragging his heels on the decision. And there are even whispers of a back-up list, including Idris Elba, Jamie Foxx and Chris Tucker.
Breaking Dawn Part 1 Trailer

The Human Centipede II UK Ban
Last year’s The Human Centipede was mad, bad and really quite grotesque. But this year’s sequel, imaginatively called The Human Centipede II, has been rejected by the British Board of Film Classification on the basis that it is “sexually violent and potentially obscene”. This means that the DVD cannot be legally supplied anywhere in the UK.The original film was released, uncut, as an 18 last year. This one, however, apparently has “unacceptable material” throughout which cannot be remedied with cuts. The filmmakers have six weeks in which to appeal against the decision. It’s worth noting, before we get all up in arms, that this is a relatively rare decision for the BBFC, who outlined their reasons at some length and stressed that the full Board was in on this one. Director Tom Six is not pleased with the decision, he will be appealing the BBFC’s decision.
Harry Potter Exclusive Clip
If you are avoiding spoilers for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2, you may not want to watch this clip brought to us by MTV. If you’ve read the book, hold on to your hat and watch away, because one of the most dramatic and exciting moments in the film is online right now, and it’s pretty startling stuff. Now I am going to try to talk around exactly what this is. This clip shows a Certain Character, taking a walk into a wooded area, and encountering a Certain Nemesis, who utters a Unforgiveable Curse directed at the Certain Character. Can you see what it is yet? Out this month
